"I just wanted to express my appreciation to Bartolotta's catering for the professionalism, courtesy and detail orientation that all of your staff displayed at the Larsen/Turner wedding on August 7, 2009. Furthermore I would like like to pay a special thanks to Julie Gerber for giving such a great effort to ensure our wedding day was perfect. I felt that she went above the call of duty on many occasions to ensure our satisfaction. We currently live in Chicago, so the planning required numerous trips to Milwaukee, which Julie was very flexible during, in order work with our schedules.
Pier Wisconsin at Discovery World is obviously a beautiful venue, but we were not simply sold on the place because the cost was more than we wanted spend. After spending an hour with Julie she had done a better job than any of the other people we met with, and we changed our mind. She was very thorough and detail oriented in the tour she gave us. Julie is very knowledgeable at what she does and gained our confidence in her right away. Julie cared about the quality of our wedding day and did everything necessary to ensure the Bartolotta standard was met and exceeded as well as our expectations.
The beautiful venue and high quality food were only about a 45% contributor to our decision, because as I said, the cost was more than we wanted to pay. Julie was the other 55% that actually swung our decision. If Julie was not part of the package, we may have ended up somewhere else. She was very personable and was a pleasure to work with.

As the Special Events Chairperson for the commissioning of the USS Freedom in Milwaukee, it was critical that I select a catering service that would not only perform in a quality manner, but one that would contribute to pulling off a series of truly memorable events for this first-of-it's-kind happening in our city. After much research, I selected Bartolotta's as the exclusive caterer for all of our official events. As part of this effort, I had the pleasure of working with Bartolotta's over the course of two years, planning the logistics for this nationally visible event in our Community. Throughout this period, all of the personnel I had the opportunity to interact with were absolute professionals and a true pleasure. They consistently demonstrated a great deal of flexibility (as the date of the actual Commissioning event was not determined until late in the game), responsiveness, knowledge and creativity; they were really my partners in planning all of our key events. Bartolotta's managed a full range of events for us, from a lunch for 100 dignitaries, dinner for 200 aboard the USS Freedom, an incredible Gala event for over 700 people at the Discovery World Museum, to food and beverages for 10,000 for the actual commissioning at Veteran's Park on November 8, 2008.
No detail was overlooked, all of my needs were expertly anticipated, and each event was conducted in a flawless and extremely high quality manner. The comments I received from the Naval officials, ship's officers and crews, and other invited dignitaries were consistently very positive. I've conducted many complex events over the years, and I can state without reservation that Bartolotta's Catering is without peer. I was able to actually enjoy the events myself! Bartolotta's handled every detail as I had total confidence in their ability to manage all aspects of each event.
If I had the opportunity to do it all over again, Bartolotta's would be my choice, hands down!

"Bartolotta Catering and Events at Pier Wisconsin provided us services for our Friday night event at Discovery World. Tekla’s US office is based out of Atlanta, Georgia so planning for the event was done through a couple of site visits but mostly via emails and phone calls. Despite the distance, planning was very seamless and the staff at Bartolotta was very responsive to our questions and our needs.
Our event was an evening reception for approximating 350 guests in late August. The way our event was set up proved to be very successful in terms of flow and getting our guests socializing and networking. Food stations and a bar were placed in the atrium and another bar and additional seating were placed outside. We had all of the exhibits open for our guests to view which turned out to be a huge hit as guests found themselves enjoying the Technology Hive gadgets, discovering what the Great Lakes held, and enjoying the aquarium.
Our guests could not stop raving about the food at our event as well. We received compliment after compliment over the Roast Beef and how it was fantastic. During the event the Bartolotta and Discovery World staff also was very attentive and cordial to our guests. Their staff was very professional and kept myself and other Tekla staff in the loop as to the quantities of food, the bar, and other matters that needed attention throughout the night.
Overall we were very pleased with our event and working with the staff at Bartolotta. We highly recommend their services for anyone planning a meeting/event in Milwaukee.Julie, thank you so much for working with us on our event at Discovery World. "In August 2008, we held our daughter’s wedding reception at Pier Wisconsin. Both during and after the wedding, countless guests commented on the beauty of the location, the breathtaking views, and the excellence of the food. During the reception, the few very minor issues that always seem to accompany such an event were immediately addressed in a courteous and professional manner. Nothing was permitted to interrupt our enjoyment of the evening as parents of the bride. Julie Gerber was my contact person at Pier Wisconsin. In the months before the wedding, I had many questions (as mother of the bride, "many" may be an understatement), and I relied on her to help me make the best possible choices. Julie promptly returned all of my emails and calls. She addressed all of my concerns, and made all changes gracefully and pleasantly. If I had to re-do the reception, I would definitely ask Julie to help me plan the event, as I would not want to change a thing. I just hope she would agree to participate again."
